The Prime People at Prime Concrete Coatings series shines a spotlight on the dedicated individuals behind our exceptional work.

Meet Brady, our Operations Manager! Originally from Lake Country, Brady has been with Prime since the beginning, starting in the tools department and gradually expanding his expertise in operations. We caught up with Brady to learn more about his journey.

What led you to pursue a career in operations, and what do you enjoy most about your role at Prime Concrete Coatings?

I started my journey with Prime Concrete working in the tools department, which gave me a solid foundation in the industry. Over the years, I’ve expanded my knowledge of operations, and what I enjoy most is witnessing the transformation that a fresh epoxy finish or a reseal can do to a space. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how our work can revitalize an area!

Can you share a bit about your upbringing in Lake Country? What are some of your favourite childhood memories?

Growing up in Lake Country was perfect for my lifestyle. Winters were spent skating on the ice nearly every day, while summers revolved around golfing and swimming in Okanagan Lake. Some of my fondest memories are skating on the outdoor rink, playing sports with my friends, and just enjoying the great outdoors!

What’s your go-to restaurant or café in Kelowna or Lake Country? Why do you love it?

I love my coffee, so my go-to would be anywhere that serves a good brew! Lake Country Radio Cafe never disappoints; they always have great options and a cozy atmosphere.

Do you have a favourite local outdoor activity or spot in Lake Country that you recommend?

If you’re looking for a good hike, Spion Kop is the way to go. There are lots of different trails, and the stunning views at the summit make the trek worthwhile!

What’s a fun fact about yourself that most people might not know?

A fun fact about me is that I once aspired to play in the NBA when I was younger. While that dream didn’t materialize, I’ve often heard it’s never too late. However, I think I may have missed my window on that one!

Can you share a memorable project you’ve worked on at Prime Concrete Coatings?

One of my most memorable projects was revitalizing the floor at the Cactus Club in Vernon. The space had a dirty and beat-up floor, but with a specific sealer, we brought that floor back to life! It was gratifying to see the final result and know we made a difference in that space.
